I'm Gone

I’M GONE

So I went to her in the flat up on the hill, hoping that she’d spare me some time
She threw the door open, she threw her arms around me and left no doubt she wanted to be mine

I’m gone, oh o I’m gone, I’m gone and all that I ever was is gone

So I went to her and we talked over nothing, though it seemed she knew what thoughts ran through my head
Then she smiled at me and beckoned me to follow, before I knew we lay down on her bed
So I went to her and all the ties that bound me have dropped away I’m floating in her space
Ain’t it strange how all the sights surrounding me bring to mind our special place

I’m gone, oh o I’m gone I’m gone and all that I ever was is gone

I would give anything to have met her sooner
Would we have been ready to love one another? I’m gone

So I went to her not thinking of consequences, knowing I had to be with her
And she pleases me, all the things she says to me, I love to lie looking up to her

I’m gone, I’m totally gone, I’m gone, I’m gone, gone, gone, gone, gone
I’m gone, oh o I’m gone, I’m gone and all that I ever was is gone
Boys I’m out of here, I’m totally gone
Oh o, I’m gone, I’m gone, so I went to her, so I went to her
